We love to add them to the top of our baked spaghetti squash with a little extra Artichoke Hummus for sauce for a hearty meal. They’re an appetizer any carnivore will appreciate. No one will ever suspect that there’s hidden veggies lurking inside.
If you’ve made the Artichoke Hummus and have a little extra stashed in your freezer like me, simply thaw it in the fridge overnight or submerge your container in a bowl of really hot water until the hummus is defrosted. I use my empty Trader Joe’s applesauce jars to store items in the freezer. Beware, they can break if you shift the temperature too quickly! I’ve used the microwave to defrost items successfully, but slow and steady wins the race…and saves you from a broken jar!
